Our prayers are with the family during this time. She and Mr. Heyward were my grandparents neighbors for my entire life and were truly strong pillars of the community.

To Phillis and her entire family(the ones I know and don’t know): I am sadden to hear of your mother. I never meet her but I feel I know so much about because Phillis loves and speaks so eloquently about her mom and her father. Every time I spoke with Phillis, even all the years we worked together, she always talked kind words of her parents. I can’t remember a day when she didn’t speak about them and always with love. My heart hurts for you more than you ever know. I’m crying as I write this message. Inspite of the hurting, I am happy your parents are together again! Phillis even though we don’t talk much I think of you every day. I can’t be there with you this morning physically but I will be there with you spiritually. Tell Annette (your sister-in-law) she is in my prayers because she loves your parents more than you’ll ever know. I love you. Always praying for you! Gods has your parents now and they are rejoicing!!! Jean M. Carter

To the family, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. While I did not know Ms. Thompson personally, I do know the pain that the death of a family member and friend can bring. During this sad time, may you take comfort from God's word, the Bible. In it, he promises to reunite us with our loved ones, and put an end to tears, pain and death (John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4). In the days ahead, may these divine promises bring you comfort and help to sustain your family. For more comforting thoughts, visit

My condolences to the family in the loss of your beloved family member. It is very difficult when a loved one fall asleep in death. But the Bible gives comfort to help you cope with your loss. Psalm 34:18 says; Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. He also expresses a wonderful hope for the future to reunite you and your loved one. At Hosea 13:14 it says: From the power of the grave I (God) will redeem them; From death I will recover them. This wonderful promise from our loving heavenly father can encourage and strengthen you as you look forward to seeing your loved one again. To learn more about this promise please visit our website:

To The Grieving Family of A message of Solace at The Time of Your Lost of a Loved One………… Many Wonder: What Happens to Us When We Die? WHY THE QUESTION ARISES: Most of the world’s religions teach that something inside a person continues living after death. Some hold that the dead can harm the living or that God punishes the wicked by condemning them to eternal torment in a fiery hell. WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES: At death, humans cease to exist. “The dead know nothing at all,” states Ecclesiastes 9:5. Since the dead cannot know, feel, or experience anything, they cannot harm—or help—the living.—Psalm 146:3, 4. It is my sincere hope that these words/this knowledge helps to sustain you, your family during your Bereavement… See also Genesis 3:19 and Ecclesiastes 9:6, 10.
