Mr. Bobby L. Holland, 76, was born on April 21 1941 in  Bowling Green, South Carolina.  He was the youngest child of the late James Lee Holland and Sadie Williams Holland.  He departed this life on December 8, 2017 at the Robin Johnson house in Dallas, North Carolina.

             He joined Weeping Mary Baptist Church as a teenager.  He served as an Usher and a Trustee. He graduated from Highland High School in 1960. He shined shoes as a young man, always wanting to help provide for his family.  After graduating he worked at a the local hotel and then a machine shop, when the machine shop closed he went on to work at Pama, and then to American Efird and Sears part time where he worked until he retired.  He was formally married to Doris Holland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lois Holland; brothers, John L. Holland, Carl Holland, and George "Dukey Boy" Holland.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories a son, Bobby Robinson (Shau-Ron) of Gastonia, N.C.; stepson, Malcolm Robinson (Cynthia) of Gastonia, N.C.; stepdaughters, Shelia Chisholm (Eric) of Ranlo, N.C., Shatina McLean of Gastonia, N.C.; grandchildren, Brenton Robinson of Greensboro, N.C., Brandon Robinson, KeMaurye McLean, KhriShard McLean all of Gastonia, N.C., and KeShon McLean of Muskogee, Oklahoma; nieces, Deborah June, Rhonda Holland, Denise Holland, Tomma Durham, Cynthia Lowery, and Angela Durham all of Gastonia, N.C; special cousins, Mary Charles Simmons of Washington D.C., Rufus Williams and Erwin Jackson both of Gastonia, N.C; special friend/brother, Walter Tate of Gastonia, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
