A memorial service in honor of Ms. Neva E. McDowell will be held Friday at 2:30 pm at Washington Funeral Home in Youngstown, OH.

Neva Elizabeth McDowell was born on March 23, 1963 in the state of New York the second child of Alexander and Ida Brown. She was raised in Youngstown Ohio where she was  brought up in the Presbyterian faith. She often visited family in Nova Scotia, Canada on vacation.

As a young woman she married and had two sons, David Alexander McDowell and Charles Edward McDowell.

Neva was a dedicated and faithful employee at the Boardman-Poland Taco Bell for the past 24 years.  She was known as the “Drive-thru Queen”.   Her co-workers and all that worked or came through the drive-thru will sorely miss her dedication.

Neva was a self-less and generous person who always extended herself to helping others.  She was an avid collector and loved Precious Moments Collectibles, angels, roses and the color blue.  In her free time she liked listening to music and watching movies.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her sons, and her two sisters, Mary Neuberger and Heather (David) Stoner, three grandchildren and her beloved dog, Sadie.

One of her favorite sayings was “Live, Love and Laugh”.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:30 Friday at the funeral home.

We're saddened to hear about your recent loss. It surely is a very difficult time; but we both hope you can find some comfort in the words of Nahum 1:7 which reads: "Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him." Yes, you can rely completely on our Loving God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29, Isaiah 55:11). Then death will be gone forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4) Going online at JW.ORG, We have found great Bible help as well as videos about this resurrection.
