         Mrs. Pinkie Elizabeth Curry Blair was born December 19, 1925 in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Hoyt and Viola Rhodes Curry.  After a brief illness she went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Pinkie joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age and after marriage she joined Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, worked on several committees, sang on various choirs and an assistant Sunday School Teacher.  Pinkie was also involved in several different social and community organizations.

Pinkie attended school in Kings Mountain and graduated from Lincoln Academy.  She further her studies in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and obtain her Cosmetology License.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew William Blair and five siblings and one grandchild.

Left to cherish precious memories are her children, Vanessa Jones (Keith) of Kings Mountain, N.C., Billy Blair (Dorie) of Norwalk, Conn., Mary Lloyd (Ronald) of Harrisburg, PA., and Willie Burris (Lisa) of Gastonia, N.C.; special friends, Dorothy Moore, Sarah Powell, Allene Roseboro, Esther Dunlap and Elvira Hunter; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Saturday, January 20, 2018 @ 1:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to funeral.
(12:00 until 1:00 p.m.)
