Dear Cummings family, my sincere condolences for your loss. Please rest assured that God promises to redeem those who have died from the power of the grave and from death, and to recover them. At Hosea 13:14, God says: “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them.” Imagine your dear loved one, Shirley, being recovered, redeemed, brought back to life. This is what God has promised us, and we can look forward to seeing our dear loved ones again. May the hope of being reunited with Shirley bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. There is a very comforting scripture found at Isaiah 25:8. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can look forward to a time when death will be done away with forever. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during this time.

To the family, My condolences to the loss of your love one. I know it is hard to deal with this grief-stricken pain. But God, whose name is Jehovah, stated in his word the Bible that “death will be no more”. (Psalms 83:18, 1 Timothy 3:16, Revelation 21:4). Also, his son, Jesus Christ, assured us at John 5:28,29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment”. So, rest assured, you will be able to see your love one again. I’ve attached a link to one of our tracts from our website, jw.org. The tract asks this question, “Can the Dead Really Live Again?” It has wonderful scriptural encouragement that will help from God’s word. Again, my sincerest condolences, J. Bryant https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&pub=t-35&srcid=share

I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that the Cummings family and friends are feeling because of losing Ms. Shirley recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15, Job 14:14-15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:18 Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible and to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO or watch this short, faith strengthening video: "Can The Dead Really Live Again?" https://vimeo.com/232445509 You are in my prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Family and Friends, when under trial Jesus was able to endure because of the joyful hope he maintained in Jehovah God's promises (Hebrews 12:2, Psalm 83:18). May you all find that same hope and comfort in this time of great sorrow by following Jesus’ example of "coming to know the only true God" (John 17:3) who assures the hope of a resurrection for ones like Shirley (John 5:28-29), as well as true salvation for those of us who strive to endure to the end (Mt 24:13). Please read the cited scriptures in your copy of the Bible to be truly comforted.

To the family and friends, I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. God promises that our loved ones will come back to life. In the Bible at Acts 24:15 it says: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." What will life be like then? For comfort from the scriptures and answers to your questions, you can have free Bible studies. You may ask any one of Jehovah's Witnesses to make arrangements.
