Sister Jennifer Kennedy, daughter of the late Shirley Ann Kennedy, was born on July 22, 1967 in Gaston County and departed this life on Tuesday; January 30, 2018 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC.

Jennifer went to Gaston Skills for forty-four years and graduated from Webb Street.  At Gaston Skills, she loved the day program and she enjoyed working in the workshop.  She would begin her mornings early, preparing herself for her job at Gaston Skills.  She never wanted to miss a day on her job. In addition to her mother, Jennifer was preceded in death by her three brothers: Charles Kennedy, Roger Eugene Kennedy and Terrance Kennedy.

She is survived by four sisters: her loving caregiver: Janice Kennedy, Lenora Kennedy of Gastonia, NC, Sandra Thompson (David) and Michelle Brown of Dallas, NC; three brothers: John P. Truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Death is never an easy thing to have to deal with, even Jesus himself wept when his friend Lazarus feel asleep in death and he knew he could resurrect him. God promises that there will be a resurrection of our dead love ones. (John 5:28,29)

we're so sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 34:18. It reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
