Willis G. Fry, 90, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Willis was a proud US Marine Corp veteran, a member of the VFW Post 1389, American Legion Post 388 and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisher and hunter and enjoyed his years doing both in Sierra County. Willis will be remembered for the beautiful Jewelry he made from rocks he collected and shined. He was always around to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He was met in heaven by his wife and mother of his children, MaryLou Fry; wife, Gladys Ann Fry; and sister, Audrey Devine.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Fry and wife, Sharron; daughter, Collette Fry; grandchildren: Angus Meglitsch, Colin Meglitsch, Emily Johnson, Conrad (Christina) Workman, Connie Schimmel and husband, Rod; Great Grandchildren: Payton, Tyler and Terisa; longtime companion, Vi Holding; sisters: Florence McDarmit and husband, Alonzo and Yvonne Gilmore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Willis on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Kirikos Family Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow with Military Honors at Vista Memory Garden Cemetery.

    Mr. Fry has been a member of our Post 388 for several years.We will read his name in Honor of his passing at our next meeting. We will record his name in TAPS in the American Legion Magazine.
