My deepest sympathies are with your family during this time of grief. The passing of Douglass is a most painful experience, however our Heavenly Father offers him the hope of a resurrection. Acts 24:15 offers this resurrection hope for Douglass. It says” there is going be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous” at which time God will remember every detail about Douglass and bring him back again. You can be assured that the god of all comfort, Jehovah know the pain you feel and comforts and strengthens you through the Holy scriptures. (for more info go to JW.org)

Salute to my Uncle Dickie who passed away last week. He was an unshakeable Force in his family, church and community! From teaching our oldest daughter how to ride a bike to sitting at my mom Lillie's kitchen table laughing and telling old stories, he will be missed. We loved him dearly but God loved him best. Be strong Aunt Hazel, Mendelll, Runt, Tim and my dad Curtis Malon Artis, his life long business partner and friend. God is still in control.

Last week, the heavens received an angel, my uncle Dickie. He joined my Aunt Vernice and Hattie, my grandfather, grandmother and many who preceded him. The Word teaches us, that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. I knew my uncle as a caring, fearless, man of integrity and strength...one who loved God. Where we will miss him down here, rest assured that he is alive in his new heavenly home. He is seated in heavenly places where we are trying to go. To my mom who loves her "bro" dearly, Aunt Hazel, and countless others, let not your hearts be troubled. We will see him again because of the life he lived. I am sad that he is no longer here with us, but know Jesus prepared a better place for him. April Cunningham 😢
