Funeral services for Mother Mary Lou Merritte Wilson will be at noon Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Penecostal Temple COGIC. Elder David Alexander Sr. will officiate. Interment is in Lincoln Hills Cemetery. West Gadsden Funeral Home is directing.

Public visitation is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two devoted daughters, Brenda Merritte, Baltimore, Maryland, and Janice (Aaron) Flambo, Gadsden; two grandsons, Tracy Merritte and David Merritte, both of Baltimore; Sharon Jackson (Granny's Girl), Baltimore; one granddaughter, Jariqha Allen, Anniston; Juan Mason (Granny's Boy) Anniston; two great-grandsons, David Merritte Jr. and Jeremiah Merritte, Baltimore; one great-granddaughter, Amira Merritte, Baltimore; one brother, William (Grace) Merritte, Baltimore.

    Accept our sincere condolences in your recent loss. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit " Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29).
