Gerald “Jerry” Lee Butler, 73, passed away at his home in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico on Sunday, February 18, 2018. 

Jerry was born in Denver, Colorado on May 13, 1944 to Jerry and Opal (McAdams) Butler.  He was a retired Fire Fighter for the City of Denver and worked also for the Underwater Rescue Unit.  A resident here for the past 24 years, Jerry was a member of the T or C Car Club; T or C Archery Club; Retired Fire Fighters Association of Denver; and enjoyed Classic Car Restoration, Archery, Foundry; RC Airplanes; Air Brushing; and Wood Working, but his biggest interests were his pets, his friends, his devoted wife and loving family.

He leaves behind his wife, Marion Elaine Butler (married 1991) of the family home in T or C; his Son ~ Jeffrey Butler & wife, Stephanie; Daughter ~ Kimberly Tichenell & husband, James and their mother, Sandy Connolly; Step-son, Damon Ginnow & wife, Nancy.  And his sister ~ Susan Fenney & husband, Gregory; Also surviving are his grandchildren ~ Eric Titchenell & wife, Jessica, Travis Titchenell & wife, Jasmine, Sara Titchenell, Tiana Ginnow, Regan Butler & Kiefer Butler. His great-grandchildren are Zachary Titchenell, Iris Titchenell, Matthew Titchenell, Aurora Titchenell and soon to be born Baby Oliver Lee Titchenell.  Other survivors include his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews ~ Erik, Renee, Michael, Kira, Christopher, Jenna, Aaron, William, Vincent, Bradley, Heather, Seth, Darien and London Fenney.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Johnny B’s Restaurant with his family and friends officiating.  An Aerial Ash Scattering will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, 18300 W. Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO 80465.  Followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 P.M. at the Denver Firefighters Museum, 1326 Tremont Place, Denver, CO 80204. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to the American Cancer Society,
