Funeral Services for Shonque Laqunda Atkins, 29, of  Shelby, MS will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p. m at Broad Street High School, Shelby, MS with burial following in Shiloh Memorial Garden, Shelby under the direction of W. S. Brandon Mortuary, Cleveland. She died Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Shelby, MS. She leaves to cherish his memories: 4 Children:  JonTrayvious Ball, JonKevius Ball, JonKeria and JaKylah Ball all of Shelby, MS Mother: Sandra Atkins Douglas of Shelby, MS/Father: Stanley Douglas of Cleveland, MS Grandmother: Lula Walker of Shelby, MS/3 sisters:  Shausheena(Laterius) Atkins- Holmes of Pensacola,FL; Shiquita (Chris) Douglas of Shelby, MS and Shania Douglas of Cleveland, MS One Brother: Stanley Hal (Samantha) Atkins/1 niece and nephew: A'Jaliyah Davis of Shelby, MS and Markevius Gadison of Pensacola, FL 4 aunts: Maxine (Booker) Tribune of Pensacola, FL; Emma (Jerome) Sykes of Shelby, MS; Diane Douglas of Shelby, MS Pernella Cleveland of Hazelhurst, MS Great aunt: Mammie Lee (Benny)  Atkins of Shelby, MS 8 uncles:  Willie Davis (Melissa) Atkins of Van Nuy, California; Robert and Leon (Louise) Davis, both of Rosedale, MS; Harry (Carolyn) Davis of Metcalfe, MS; Johnnie( Patricia) Davis of Greenville, MS; Leroy (Brenda) Douglas and Eugene Douglas Jr both of Hazelhurst, MS; Elvis (Ada) DouglasVinita Park, MI.Godmother: Erma Lawson of Shelby, MS Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018  at W. S. Brandon Mortuary from 2-4 p.m. with family hour from 4-6 p.m. The remains will lie in state at Broad Street High School, Saturday, March 3, 2018  from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Jerry Johnson will officiate.
