Patricia Ann Boyd was born on June 5, 1950 and transitioned to be with the Lord on Saturday February 17, 2018. She was born and raised in Bracey, Virginia, attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools in South Hill, Virginia and graduated from East End High School.

Pat cherished and adored her three daughters and grandchildren. She was a loving soul inside and out that loved everyone. She was known for her million dollar smile and for rocking back and forth. Her laughter was infectious. Her famous saying was "Shut the front door". To all that knew her, she was a special person who was generous, humble and kind.

In early 1970, Pat relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey, where her sister Carolyn lived.  She loved her sister dearly, while raising her own three daughters, she also helped take good care of her sister’s children. God united Pat and Carolyn with great love, peace and unity, and a closer relationship with her brother-in-law, Apostle Thomas Rodgers and her brother, Samuel Boyd. Pat was devoted to taking care of her mother and father.  When her sweet father became ill, she traveled to South Hill to take care of him until the Lord called him home. She then stayed for months at a time to care for her loving mother.  Pat also loved and took care of all of her precious grandchildren.

The day before she transitioned, she told her beautician that she just couldn't wait to get to church on Sunday morning to shout and then began to shout in the middle of the floor. For all that knew Pat, knew that she was always a sharp dresser that always had her hair and nails done and loved her big jewerly.

To mention a few of the many special people that were precious in Pat's life; Uncle Clyde Boyd, Aunt Helen Hendrick, Cousin Marie Hendrick, Cousin Osina Whittle, Cousin Lynn Whittle, Cousin Sylvia, Cousin Ann, Cousin Pearline Wilson, Aunt Edna Boyd and Aunt Margaret.

Pat was preceded in death by her loving parents; Deacon Sam and Cornelia Boyd and other special people that were in her life; Eugene Spears, Stephone Rodgers, Aunt Mary Lou, Uncle Sherman Harper, Aunt Lonnie, Uncle Melvin Boyd and Aunt Louise Boyd.

A trail of fond memories is left to provide inspiration to: three daughters, Michele Boyd (Jason), Trayce Boyd-McFadden (Demond) and Sheranda Boyd (Wilson); her adorable grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally, Patricia, TeQuan, Shalique, Briana, Jaylin, Alexis, Malachi, Jarred, Tiara and Joel; great-grands, Jamijah, Jermaine and King; she was so excited to meet the newest member to the family, Anyla Patricia; a caring brother; Samuel Boyd, Jr. and her one and only loving sister, Carolyn Rodgers (Apostle Rodgers), and a host of beautiful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
