Our Beloved, Elizabeth Davis Williams

And it was so ordered by God on February 25, 2018, our beloved Elizabeth Davis Williams departed this life of pain and uncertainty for the joys and comforts of eternal peace. Elizabeth began her earthly journey on April 23, 1935, in Newberry County as the daughter of Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Annie Bell Anderson. She was educated in the Newberry County School System and was employed at Joanna Mills in Joanna, South Carolina for many years. Elizabeth was brought up working in Little River Zion Baptist Church in Kinards, South Carolina where she was baptized and given the right hand of fellowship. Mrs. Williams continued to be a faithful member and of Little River Zion Baptist Church where she diligently served as president of the Women’s Aide Society #52. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Lou Wash Williams, a son, James Miller and a daughter, Annie Mae Smith. Mrs. Elizabeth Davis Williams will live on in the hearts and memories of her four daughters, Mary (Nathaniel) Taylor of Newberry, South Carolina, Linda (Willie) Hunter of Laurens, South Carolina, Virginia Turner of Clinton, South Carolina and De’nysha Smoot reared in the home; two sons, Tommy (Joann) Williams of Clinton, South Carolina and Samuel (Lisa) Williams of Little Mountain, South Carolina; sister, Lenora Anderson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; brother, Benny Otis Tribble of Newberry, South Carolina; fifteen beautiful grandchildren; twenty-seven loving great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a devoted and encouraging friend, Maggie Conway; as well as a host of doting nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
