Craig Lawrence Morton was born September 26th, 1947, in Truth or Consequences (TorC), NM to the late Robert and Lois Morton. Craig’s mother was a bank teller until just before Craig was born then she became a full time mother to both Craig and her first born son Joe. Craig’s father worked for hydroelectric dams which caused them to move often. They moved from TorC to Davis Dam, AZ, then Palmer, AK and Glasgow, MT where Craig graduated from high school.

In high school Craig was a Montana State Wrestling Champion and All State Football player.  After high school he attended college for a couple years before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Craig received an honourable discharge from the Marine Corps in 1970 when he was 23 years old. Shortly after that he was married and had 2 children. He then divorced and moved to TorC where his parents retired. During this time he obtained a Doctorate Degree in Motors from a trade school. After that, Craig moved to Fairbanks, AK where his brother lived. Craig eventually moved back to T or C and lived with his beloved mother.

Craig is survived by his first-born son Randall Morton and daughter Amy Draper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in TorC, NM and believed that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Saviour.  Craig had a heart to help those in need and gave most of his monetary and material possessions away to help others.

Craig Will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 17, 2018 with a graveside service starting at 2:00 P.M. at Vista Memory Garden Cemetery with Rev. Dudley Bristow officiating.
