Mrs. Margie Evans transitioned to her heavenly home Monday, March 12, 2018. 

She was the wife, of the late Charles Evans. Mrs. Evans was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and Albany State College (University). she was a teacher in the Richmond County School System for 30 years. Mrs. Evans was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the retired Teachers Association, and Albany State University Alumni Chapter.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Charvette Monroe (CJ) of Grovetown, GA, and Reverend Patrice Evans, M. Div., of Atlanta, GA; two loving grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Beulah Grove Baptist Church, 1434 Popular Street, Reverend Dr. Sam Davis, pastor-eulogist. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Viewing will be Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

    I am truly sorry to hear that Mrs. Evans had passed away. Her husband Coach Charles Evans was one of my teachers when I was at Glenn Hills High in the 70’s.
