Mr. Arthur James Jones, 58, of Radcliff, KY, died on March 21, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Jones was a native of Opelika, AL and the son of the late James Edward Jones and Fannie Lois Johnson. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the U. S. Army.  Mr. Jones was an employee of Goodwill Industries.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Jones.

Survivors include one daughter, LaTasha Hines (Torrey, Sr) of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Torrey Hines, Jr. and Tia Hines; four aunts, Thelma Jones (Johnny) of Gary, IN, Dorothy Headspeth of Elizabethtown, KY, Ruthie Belle Osborne of New Jersey and Martha Dinwiddie (John) of Radcliff, KY.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Embry Chapel AME Church in Elizabethtown, KY.  Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.

Percell & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    As a freshman in college, I looked up to James and our other senior basketball player. Their leadership paved the way for our future success on and off the court. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and to my fellow teammates,once a UTC Moc - always a UTC Moc!
