Mrs. Gwendolyn Faye Newsome,, 60, of New Hebron, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Onette and Minnie Daniels.  She was a member of Silver Creek M. B. Church where she was a member of the choir. 

She was a laborer at Sanderson Farms before her health failed.  She loved shopping, riding and enjoying family.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Silver Creek M. B. Church, New Hebron, Mississippi at 11am.  Interment will be in the church cemetery. 

She is survived by: husband, Roger Newsome of New Hebron, MS; sons, Micheal Daniels and Brandon Rushing both of New Hebron, MS; daughter, Shawana Newsome of New Hebron, MS; brothers, Bruce Daniels of Prentiss, MS;  sisters, Peggy Joseph, Cathy Fortenberry, Mamie Nelson and Evelyn Newsome all of Prentiss, MS; Phyllis Williams of Mendenhall, MS; grandchildren: 2

Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-8pm and Saturday at the church, 10-11am.

    It's a million memories this lady left with me.since the first day I met this lady she was everything . Faye you left us too early but I know you was tired. You fought this tuff battle until it came to an end.you will always be apart of cookie and I heart sleep peaceful and tell my grandpa hello until we meet again.
