Shirley Allene Borges passed away on March 22, 2018. 

Born to Ollie R Coggin and Eva Inez Coggin on October 14th, 1939

The deceased was 77 and living in Chapel Hill, NC.  Born in Portales, New Mexico and survived by her sister, Lora Lee Ayers.

Predeceased by her siblings:  Monroe Coggin, Vera Weldy, Frances Hoover and Pearline May.

Shirley married Leo Joe Borges on May 8th, 1958 and later was divorced.  They had 2 children: Pamela Martin and Rick Borges.  She has 4 grandchildren that she loved with all her heart:  Samantha Ferrer, Ryan Martin, Joshua Martin, and Ericka Caufield.  1 Great grandchild: Camden Caufield

She graduated from High School and took some college classes at Riverside Community College.  She was employed as House Parent, and Clerical Supervisor at Riverside County Juvenile Probation where she retired. 

The deceased was survived by lots of family and friends who loved her very much. Shirley attended the Church of Christ her entire life.   She enjoyed her Grandchildren and her pets Timmy and Katie and enjoyed her time with them.

There will be a Memorial Service at Pine Valley Church of Christ, 3601 S. College Road, Wilmington , NC 28412.  Phone number: 910-791-2255
