Willia Mae Barbee, 89, of N. 16th St., Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

She was born in Steelton, daughter of the late Arto and Carrie (Davenport) Wise, a graduate of The Old Steelton High School, a member of Emanuel Church of God in Christ, where she served on the Mothers' Board, the Pastor's Aide and directed the Church's Food Pantry since 1982, retired from the PA Dept. of Labor & Industry and in her leisure, she was dedicated to serving with her church's food pantry and was a receipient of WGAL TV's Jefferson Award. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and loving people.

Mother Barbee leaves to celebrate her life, her husband, Gilbert Douglas Barbee; her daughters and son-in-law, Andrea H. and Anthony Turner and Laura D. Barbee; her brother, David Wise; her sister, Mary Dennis, all of Harrisburg; her Church Family and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her life will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her Church, 601 N. 16th St., Harrisburg with viewing 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
