I certainly was not close friends with the Fitzgeralds, but as many of us are here in Sierra County, we occasionally socialized with them; here are two of my impressions; First, Sandra was one of the classiest ladies I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Secondly, in the twilight of his wife’s life, Ed was the most loyal, devoted, caring, and loving husbands I have ever known, an example for all men. Your successful journey is over, Sandra; rest well! My sympathies and best wishes to Ed and the family. Mark Filosa

Dear Ed, My heart aches for you. Sandra was such an elegant lady (even though she at times may have been more of a sailor). I loved all the years seeing her at NFDA conventions. I am glad you found each other.

Accept our heartfelt sympathy in your recent loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Nahum 1:7 Which reads: “Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him.” Yes, our loving God is there for us if we allow him to help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us! You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.

Zizi: I had only one opportunity to meet your mother--several years ago. Though the conversation was brief, it was delightful and her warmth and gracious manner was evident throughout. Clearly you manifest those same qualities, among many others, as did your mom. So, her life and legacy will live on through you as you continue to touch and make a difference in the lives of others, as she did in yours. May God's blessings abound to you each day, my friend.
