MR. JOHN EDDIE ROBERTSON, son of the late George and Tillie Allen Robertson, was born January 8, 1940 in Charlotte County, VA and departed this life April 7, 2018 at W.S. Hundley Annex, South Hill, VA.  He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Ernest, George, Leroy, and James Robertson and Annie Sarah Holmes.

John attended the public schools in Charlotte County and later he moved to South Hill, VA.  There he and his family joined Whittle Grove Baptist Church.

John worked at planting trees, farming, Emporia Bricket and lastly, Virginia Marble, Kenbridge, VA as a laborer.

John was married to Annie Sallie on January 10, 1964 and they were blessed with four children.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting wild life.

John leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Annie Sallie Robertson of the home; four children- Linda Gaither, Glenn Burnie, MD; John C. (Michelle) Robertson, Ebony, VA; Ernestine (Bishop Joel) Johnson, Franklin, VA and Theresa (Shannon) Phillips, South Hill, VA; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister- Louise Robertson (Charlie Lambert), New Jersey; one brother- Ernest (Audrey) Robertson, Drakes Branch, VA; four sisters-in-law, Louise Holmes, Rosenell Taylor, Christine Sallie and Brenda (Wilbert) Lambert; three brothers-in-law, Willie Roy Sallie, Jimmie Sallie and Clinton (Rosa) Sallie;  devoted friends -John Eddie Jackson and John Stone, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
