Cornelius Parker, Sr, 54, of 2601 Fire Tower Road, Harrells, NC, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2 PM at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Ivanhoe, NC.  Burial will follow in the Chestnutt Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Vernell Parker, of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Parker, Garland, NC; sons, Torrel Newkirk, of Willard, and Cornelius Parker, Jr., of Harrells; a godson, Dakota Moore; sisters, Julia M. Newark, Garland, Nellie Kerr, Greensboro; brothers, Glenn Kerr, Garland, Lenwar Kerr, Garland, Terry Kerr, Harrells; and nine grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 2 PM until 7 PM at the mortuary on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
