A funeral service celebrating the life of Marvin Lee Woods will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church with Reverend T. James Harrison officiating. Mr Woods known to his family and friends as "Marvelous Marv" was born March 7, 1956 in Sharon, a son of Andrew and Hortense Austin Woods Sr. He was a 1974 graduate of Farrell High School and  he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed making people laugh and was always the life of family gatherings.    He departed this life April 11, 2018 at Sharon Regional Health System with his loving family by his side.  He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children Pamela (Tyrone)Lampkins, Dion Eliam Sr., Shanta'(Matt)Thomas , Demond(April) Bell, Jalissa Woods, Jamaar Rice-Woods; his stepdaughter, Madeshia Watkins; his siblings, Andrew Woods Jr.,Diane (Eugene) Ashley; 24 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and dear friends including his companion, Tracy Root; his god daughter, Antoinette Austin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; a sister and 4 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 am until time of service at the church.
