A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Alfonso James Jr. will be held Wednesday at 11am at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Russell V. Penn, Pastor officiating.  Mr. James known to his family and friends as "Rudy" passed away on Wednesday April 11, 2018, at Sharon Regional Health System.
Alfonso was born January 13, 1930 in Farrell, a son of Alfonso and Azalie"Trudy" Pope James 

He was a 1948 graduate of  Farrell High School,and on October 22, 1950 he married the former Almeda D. Williams. He was a longtime employee of the former Sharon Steel Corp retiring after 42 years of loyal service. He was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church of Farrell, PA.
He will be deeply  missed by his family and those who loved and adored him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; his children, Marcie (Jamel) Kirby of Iowa, Monica (Stanley) Collins of Ohio, Pamela (Wesley) Prince of Pennsylvania, Alfonso (Sylvia) James of Louisiana, Sharon James of Pennsylvania, Cynthia (Michael) Henderson of Pennsylvania, 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; his step-father Edmund Ford, two sisters and four brothers and his nephew Wilford Flowers.


The family will receive guest at 410 Hamilton Ave and friends may call Wednesday from 10 am until time of service at the church

Interment will be in Morefield Cemetery Hermitage, Pa
