William. R. Foye, 72, of Madison, NC affectionally known as "Billy" by his family and friends died Wednesday, April 18, 2018.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Perry Spencer Funeral Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1:30 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Madison, NC.

William was born in Rockingham County to the late Clarence Foye, Sr. and Addie Foye was born November 10, 1945.  Our solider departed this life on Wednesday morning, April 18, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC after a long illness.  Billy, as he was fondly known attended the former Charles Drew High School and graduated in the Class of 1966.  He was a retired employee of Miller Brewing Company, formally in Eden, NC.  Billy was also known for his willingness to help others throughout the community and his love to laugh and fellowship with others.  He joined St. Stephens United Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Tammy Ingram, who he also treasured as a dear friend. On October 10, 1970 he was married to the late Donna M. Foye, who preceded him in death November, 2017.  To their union one child was born, Javonna L. Foye “Missy” Hayes. He was also preceded in death by four brothers; Albert, Coy, Garland and Eddie Foye, one sister; Helen Foye, three nephews, Lonnie and Randy Simmons and Clarence Foye.  one niece, Gay Albright, sister-in-law, Lillie Spencer, brothers-in-law, Michael Price and Ralph Barnhill.  He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter; Javonna F.  Hayes (Dezie) of the home, four very special grandchildren which he raised as his very own; Quaneishia Foye (William Andrews), Kuamari Foye, Ben Foye, Lyric Hayes all of Madison, NC, four more grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally; Ty Foye, Tajayaila Foye, Seakrit Hayes, Jariahanna Hayes of Madison, NC, sister; Katie Barnhill of San Diego, CA, two great grandchildren; Quamiah and Jakobe Andrews of Madison, NC, god-daughter and godson; Lafreda and Makai Pruitt, sisters-in-law; Nancy Foye, Patricia Foye, Paulett Foye, Ommie Price, brother-in-law; Clarence Moyer, Jr, special cousin; Josephine Foye, two special friends; Dezie Hayes, Eddie Adams, three special nephews; Stephen Foye, Dewayne Foye, Edward Foye and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.

    Accept our heartfelt sympathy in your recent loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Nahum 1:7 Which reads: “Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress.
