Mr. Levi Armstrong, 79, of Silver Creek, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Jeff Davis Community Hospital, Prentiss, MS.  He was the son of the late George and Mary Armstrong.  He was a member of Rose Hill M. B. Church, Silver Creek, MS. 

He retired as a laborer from Monticello Hardwood.  He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing and enjoyed fellowship with family and the community. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 4, 2018 at Rose Hill M. B. Church at 1pm.  Interment will be in Armstrong Cemetery, Silver Creek, MS.

He is survived by: sons, James Armstrong and Charles Armstrong both of Silver Creek, MS; daughters, Annie Mikell and Tiffany Slay both of Silver Creek, MS; Mary Funchess of Prentiss, MS; Marvina Thomas of Bryam, MS; brotehrs, James Armstrong of Silver Creek, MS; Calvin Armstrong of Prentiss, MS and J. W. Armstrong of Alabama; sisters, Tressie Armstrong, Georgia Reed and Mable Holloway all of Nevada; grandchildren: 11; great-grandchildren; 6

Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home,1-6 and family hour, 6-8pm. and Friday at the church, 12 noon-1pm.

    Accept our heartfelt sympathy in your recent loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Nahum 1:7 Which reads: “Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress.
