Floyd Wayne "Ricky" Webster, 62 of Durham, NC died Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Goodwill First Baptist Church, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the church.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

was born March 13, 1956 in Reidsville, North Carolina to James E. Webster and Bettie Esther Webster. He departed this life on April 28, 2018. He attended Madison-Mayodan High School and graduated from High School in Germany while a member of the United States Army. After his service to our country, Floyd began many years of work at various companies in Durham and Greensboro, North Carolina, including General Electric, Mitsubishi and RF Micro Devices. Most recently, he worked with Uber. He purchased a home in Durham where he resided for over 25 years. He was well respected by his neighbors, many of which have stated that they will greatly miss him. He was a friend to many, and those who knew him loved to be in his presence as he kept them laughing.  One long-time friend said, “Ricky was very friendly; he loved to have fun. Ricky made me laugh harder than anybody in my whole life.” Floyd joined Goodwill Baptist Church at an early age where he attended with his parents until he became an adult and moved away. Floyd showed love for his younger brother and sisters by inviting them to company social events. He loved the family farm where he grew up from age 10 and spent time there later in life.

Floyd has one son: Sulaiman Nuri of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James E. and Bettie E. Webster, one brother, Billy D. Webster and one sister, Kathy M. Webster. He leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers: Rev. Dr. James A. Webster (Brenda) of Summerfield, NC, John T. Webster (Mary) of Greensboro, NC, The Honorable Joe L. Webster (Diane) of Chapel Hill, NC, Curtis A. Webster (Sondra) of High Point, NC, and sister; Patsy A. Dalton (Charles) of Stokesdale, NC.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
