Phil, One of the many thing that I am thankful for is the gift that Jehovah gave me of knowing Joyce. She was a loving and faithful sister. She was always there with her wisdom and strength and love. Her faith in Jehovah and his promises were unwavering and always encouraging. Although we are never prepared for the loss of a loved one, we know that Jehovah is always prepared to help us with our grief. May his love and promise of the resurrection hope surround you with the comfort that only he can give. Know that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family La Verne Robbins

We don't know what to say except that we love you. We can't understand exactly how you feel, but Jehovah does and will keep raising you up. We hope that our prayers will help a little. Revelation 21:3,4 says that" the tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Our love to Phil and Debra. Before you know it we will hear Joyce's voice, see that smile and hear her fingers gliding over the piano keys as she did at my wedding. Be assured of Jehovah's love and care during this time of sadness. Your brother and sister, Walter and Gale Virgil

To a Lovely Family. Jehovah promises to be a God of all comfort and the Father of tender mercies that will deliver us through all our trails.....2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Job asked: If someone dies will he live again....Job 14:14-15, and Jesus said, Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will her his voice and come out.....John 5:28-29. These are all too familiar scriptures that you have read so many times to comfort others. It is different when you are the ones who has them read to you. At such difficult times, Jehovah's arms will strengthen you through these days ahead for He is a strong tower. (Psalms 18:10) Remember Jehovah assures you that it would be unrighteousness to forget the work and the love you showed for his name. (Hebrew 6:10) He recalls the endless hours and loyal service of Joyce, her laughter, the beautiful music she passionately played for us to sing and hum along to and her love for her Phil and family. He holds dear the loving and compassionate care, endless hours that you provided for her for more than 2 years. Jehovah thanks you and your family for lending yourselves to him. Joyce will sleep for just a few moments and she will walk across the bridge in the new system just as vigorous, energetic and happy as in her teens. Jehovah and his Son will do this. Be assured: Then, instead of having to "weep with those who weeps" all earth's inhabitants will "rejoice with those who rejoice." (Romans 12:15.

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG

Jehovah strengthens us by giving us "the power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress". Nahum 1:7; Jehovah..."is a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him". My heart goes out to the family, please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember Jehovah loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)
