Mrs. Izory Drake, 78 of Madisonville, KY. died on May 10, 2018 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, KY.

Mrs. Drake was a native of Madisonville, KY and the daughter of the late Anderson and Nannie Joyce.  She was an active member of Branch Street Church of God in Christ.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Bill Joyce, Matthew Joyce, Roy Joyce, Charles Joyce, George Joyce and Doug Joyce; and four sisters, Evie Kivell, Mary Price, Pauline Brown, and Rosa Mae Chambers.

She is survived by her husband, Alford Drake, Sr., of Madisonville, KY; one son, Alfred Drake, Jr. (Siyama) of Powder Springs, GA; two daughters, Constance Drake and Brenaye Hughes (Eugene) both of Madisonville, KY; two brothers, Marshall Joyce (Ann) and Ernest Joyce (Paulette) both of Madisonville, KY; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Branch Street Church of God in Christ in Madisonville, KY.  Burial followed in Elliot Memorial Gardens.

Percell & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29).
