My heart aches for the Hollis family to lose recently in death your precious loved one Regina after just 44 way too short years, way too young, way too soon. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you a beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." . Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 4 which reads: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15, Job 14:14-15, Isaiah 26:19) God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." Acts 17:31-34 tells us: Because he (Jehovah) has set a day on which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man (Jesus) whom he (Jehovah) has appointed, and he (Jehovah) has provided a guarantee to all men by resurrecting him (Jesus) from the dead." Now when they heard of a resurrection of the dead, some began to scoff, while others said: "We will hear you again about this." So Paul left them, but some men joined him and became believers. Among them were Dionysius, who was a judge of the court of the Areopagus, and a woman named Damaris, and others besides them."" Isn't it wonderful to know that death is not the end of everything, but that Jehovah has given us the resurrection? For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible. If you had the opportunity to see your dead loved ones again, alive and in perfect health here on earth, would you take it? Of course, we all would! The Bible says we will!! Wonderfu so, please watch this short, faith strengthening video: “Can The Dead Really Live Again?” http://vimeo.com/198453012 You are in my prayers during this difficult time. Accept our sincere condolences in your recent loss. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit " Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this. Find out more online at JW.ORG
