God’s unfailing love transitioned “Tudy’s” earthly life to eternal life in glory, Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  Margaret Louise Searcy Scales was born May 22, 1944 to the late Charlie “David” Clark and Margaret “Louise” Searcy.  Tudy as she was affectionately known to most, was the oldest of eight children.  She was born in Rockingham County and attended the former Charles Drew Colored School in Madison, NC.  She was employed by Washington Mills, Stoneville Furniture and Unifi for many years.  Tudy joined Burning Bush Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Billy Harbor and was a spirited member until her health failed.  Even after her health failed she continued to attend and enjoyed worshiping and praising the Lord.  She was appreciative for the deacons of Burning Bush, who took the time to make sure she was safely put in her wheelchair and rolled to the front of the church to enjoy the word of God.  Her biggest joy was hearing the choir sing her favorite songs.  She would cry and praise the Lord in her own way.  Even when Tudy was bedridden, she loved hearing a word from God, whether it was a prayer, a scripture or gospel singing, it seemed satisfying to her and appeared to give her peace.  Tudy love family gatherings, even in the Nursing Home.  When family came to visit, you could hear her loud laughter all over the building, hardly ever was she sad.  In her teenage years Tudy fell in love and married the late William “Fisher” Scales, who lovingly called her “Kate”.  To this union two children were born.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Burl and Kerry Searcy.  She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son; Lonzie Earl Scales (Georgia) of Greensboro, NC, a very devoted daughter; Tracy Tuggle (Ray) of the home, four sisters; Ella Jean Phillips (Stanley) Cathy Settle (Joe) both of Madison, NC , Deanna McCain of Charlotte, NC, Australia Kellam of Reidsville, NC, four grandchildren; Dakota Tuggle of Charlotte, NC, Ryan Tuggle of the home, Tremaine and Quinton Hightower of Burlington, NC, one great-grandchild; Jayden Hightower of Burlington, NC, a host of nieces nephews, family and friends.

Accept our sincere condolences in your recent loss. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit " Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this. Find out more online at JW.ORG

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG
