OBITUARY

DAVIE LEE RHONE, went home to be with his heavenly father on May 17, 2018 at VCU-MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA.  He was the son of the late Walter Allen and Rosetta King Rhone, born April 3, 1957.  He was preceded in death also by his siblings: Louise, Dorothy, Bessie, Archie and Richard, Sr.

Davie attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. He worked as a farmer then at Narricot Industries, and lastly Southern Textiles until he became ill.

Davie leaves to mourn his daughter- Rose Etta Bugg and her mother- Barbara Cosby of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren- Chamel C. and Tye’Jada A. Hobbs; great-granddaughter- Jha’niya M. Hobbs; two sisters- Frances Bugg (Walter) of South Hill, VA and Lucy Cannon of Richmond, VA; one brother- Charles Rhone of Chesterfield, VA; devoted friends- James Minor whom he loved fishing with and Ann Fields, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29).
