Mrs. Cora M. Nelson, 63, of Bassfield, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  She is the daughter of the late Harvey and Cathleen Magee.  She is a member of Progress M. B. Church, Bassfield, Mississippi.  

She was a former laborer at Sanderson Farms.  She loved shopping, watching movies and fellowship with family. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Progress M. B. Church, Bassfield, Mississippi at 12 noon.   Interment will be in the church cemetery. 

She is survived by: husband, David Nelson of Bassfield, MS; brother, Clifton Wolfe of Collins, MS; 

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-8pm; and Wednesday at the church, 11am-12noon.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
