Mr. Ernest Scott Moyer, 61, died May 21, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Perry-Spencer Memorial Chapel in Eden. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Eden Garden Cemetery

Ernest was the oldest child of the late William Scott Moyer and Ivadell Moyer. He was born May 8, 1957 and departed this life on May 21, 2018.

He was a 1975 graduate of Morehead High School in Eden, NC. In 1980, he graduated from Barber Scotia College in Concord, NC with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting. He was employed by Equity Meats in Reidsville, NC as a Quality Control Technician and retired in 1993.  He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending his favorite Christmas Holiday with them. Also, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to sporting events.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Scott Moyer and his brother, Stanley Moyer. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother; Ivadell Moyer of Eden, NC, one brother; Donald Moyer(Ana) of Kernersville, NC, two sisters; Sharon Palmer and Serita Moyer of Eden, NC, his longtime best friend, caregiver and partner; Ricky Quick of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die.
