Dear Mrs. Daphne, please know that my husband and I are praying for you and your family during this transition. I worked with Al for a number of years at PSI and was sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great friend and co-worker. I used to tease him about being called "Cookie" which is what my husband's aunt, Agnes Gravely, called him because at work he was Big Al. Praying that God gives you strength.

To all of the family, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to you in this time of bereavement. Having grown up with all of you in the "village" of Blue Creek, my memories of being Cookie's protégé on the baseball field, in church activities, and learning about the "ways of the world" are all vivid in my mind.

We're so sorry about your loss. Please find comfort from the words found at 1 Corinthians 1:3, 4 which reads: "3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials" Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this. Find out more online at JW.ORG
