Ira was a really respectful person. He had the best sense of humor. He knew how to make you laugh until he would bring tears to your eyes. He was one of the best co workers and security guards we had at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital Tarboro. Rest on Ira take your rest. We loved you but God loved you best. Family keep looking to the hills from where all your help comes from. Know that it comes from God. Keeping you all in prayer

Ira Dale was a "gentle" man. A man of service to country, to those who were special to him in life and all done quietly. He led his life without fanfare and was always the first to lend a helping hand. He now claims his reward as he is reunited with those that he loved. Go my friend and reap all the love that awaits you. Namaste Jan Mason

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. During this sad time, please take comfort in the Bible's positive message. In it, our Heavenly Father assures us of his loving support in times of grief, and he promises to end tears and death forever (Psalm 34:18 and Revelation 21:3,4). In the days ahead, may your family draw closer together, encouraging one another in the difficult time. For more comforting thoughts, please visit jw.org. Take care.

My cousin was one of the most sweetest and kindest person one could ever meet. Honest to fault and unfiltered. Auntie Lillie, Mama Lillie and his birth mother, Reba. God be with you kind welcoming his kind and gentle soul. I will always be loved by my Auntie Lillie who stepped in to save his life due to tuberculosis and got him in a sanatorium that saved his life. Auntie Lillie raised Iradell, and his brother, Bill Jones. That was who my Auntie Lillie and knew no other. That home for both Iradell Bill Jones, and any rag-tag needed was The Statute Of Liberty of my Auntie Liillie. She was so loved by Iradell, and Bill They were so fortunate blessed for the family she Iradell had Auntie Lillie and Mama Lillie in his life and he knew it as I am sure he considered both mothers. In passing, I must relate a few things. Mama Lillie would call on Iradelll every day before breakfast. I can still hear Mama Lillie"svoice, "IRADELL," he got up every day as Mama Lillie always had for him to go to the "Thorton" grocery store just behind a patch behind our house. Poor Iradell, in the household of me and my brother and Cynthia, were the only ones he would have to get up and go to Mr. Thorton. He never protested but he would say no one why he was the only one called to do this.. I laugh to this day as I can still hear Mama Lillie, IRADALE. I think, but not sure Iradell had two other brothers, Their names escape me. Perhaps I will see in a more comprehensive obituary. Finally, sleep well my dear cousin in the arms of so many who have loved you.

We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old 9and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
