MRS. SUSIE MAE COLEMAN, daughter of the late Ashton and Mamie Tisdale Bugg was born February 4, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, VA and departed this life May 23, 2018 in Bon Secours Community Hospice, Chesterfield, VA.

At an early age she was baptized and joined Union Meherrin RZUA Church, Brodnax, VA.  She attended the Mecklenburg Public Schools.

Susie was married to the late Charles “Tick” Coleman and to his union they were blessed with 11 children.  Two of their children preceded her in death, Frances Bugg and Barbara Coleman.

Susie worked for many years on the farm and as a homemaker.  She later became ill and moved to Richmond, VA to be cared for by her daughter, Nannie.

In her spare time she enjoyed watching the soap operas and listening to music.

Susie leaves to mourn three daughters- Nannie Bugg, Richmond, VA; Pearl Woodson, LaCrosse, VA and Lucille Coleman, South Hill, VA; six sons- James Bugg, Richmond, VA; Leonard Coleman, Indianapolis, IN; Haney (Rosa) Coleman, Roxboro, NC; Charles Coleman, Japan; James and Randolph Coleman, Richmond, VA; 23 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1  sister-in-law, Nancy Gregory, South Hill, VA;  foster daughter, Mary Allen, Richmond, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    We're so sorry about your loss. Please find comfort from the words found at 1 Corinthians 1:3, 4 which reads: "3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials" Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29).
