Mr. Michael Anthony Webster, 59, of 111 Tony Rd., Madison, died May 25, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Michael Anthony Webster was born in Reidsville, NC on April 5, 1959 to Lillie Webster Searcy and raised by Lillie, James Searcy, Sr. and his grandmother, the late Annie Ziglar Webster in the Goodwill Community of Madison NC.  Although he chose to mostly move in silence, Michael loved his family deeply and was always very supportive, especially behind the scenes. He remembered birthdays, holidays and anniversaries and would often be the first person to congratulate you, support or encourage you through sickness and challenges, celebrate your achievements or accomplishments, but he would already be gone before the crowd developed. His presence was always felt and he was one of the most humbled human beings you would ever meet.  Webster attended Madison Mayodan Public Schools where he completed his studies in 1977. Throughout high school he drove a local school bus route while enrolled. In his life he has been a loyal, consistent achieving associate with an award winning background in manufacturing, fork lift operating and as a general maintenance laborer. He was an all around skilled asset to the organizations he was employed with including having perfect attendance in the work place and having received employee of the year award over 10 times. In his spare time he loved exploring old school muscle cars (Chevrolets to be Exact), gardening, lawn care, car detailing, building and constructing “Do It Yourself” Projects, listening and watching pranks or practical jokes which channeled his behind the scenes sense of humor, watching sports which includes his loyalty to the Carolina Tarheels, Dallas Cowboys and most recently the Baltimore Orioles. Michael loved to watch online sermons, spending quality time with his family and loved ones but above all things he enjoyed Peace.

Michael Webster leaves his memories to cherish: his wife; Dell Galloway Webster of 34 years, one son, Juan Antonio Webster (daughter in law- Kisha Flowers Webster) of Baltimore, Maryland, two stepdaughters; Toni Mitchell in Madison NC, Phyllis Mitchell Hughes (Ronnie) of Madison NC, four special grandchildren; Tia Hunter, daughter of Toni (of the home), Darius Hunter, son of Toni of Madison, NC, Morgan Webster, daughter of Juan and Kisha and Lawson Webster, son of Juan and Kisha. His parents, James and Lillie Searcy of Madison, 4 sisters Della Johnson, Sherry Davis (Mark), Donna Cummings(William), Angela Lowe (Franklin) and one brother James Searcy, Jr (Donna). He has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and more. He also leaves additional brothers and sisters Eric Settle, Scott Settle, Vincent Settle, LaVelle Settle, Jermaine Settle, Adrian Settle and Altina Settle.

Accept our sincere condolences in your recent loss. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit " Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this. Find out more online at JW.ORG

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. You can find out more online at JW.ORG

Death Has Not Won!!!! In moments like this, it feels -- it feels like death has won. But the Bible says that love is stronger than death. Your hearts are heavy, and tears will flow down. Your spirits are wounded. I feel that too. I understand what it is to be in pain. You look around and everybody you love, everybody you can count on and everybody you can trust seems to be slipping through your fingers. And it feels as though death has won. The first family, when Cain killed Able, it seemed like death had won. Noah escaped the flood. Still he died. It looked like death had won. Isaiah was an eagle-eye prophet; he could see thousands of miles and years away. Still he died. It looked like death had won. Habakkuk had come as a prophet to Israel, spoke truth so powerful and so profound, but no matter how close he was to God, still he died. It looked like death had won. We've seen scientists, astronauts, politicians and great thinkers of the ages and no matter how profound and prolific or bright they were, still they died. It looked like death had won. But the Bible kept saying that love is stronger than death. And like two gladiators in a fight, Every time they entered into the ring it, looked like death had won... Love rolled into the ring and said wait a minute, death. You've been bullying people for a long time. But I want to set the record straight. Love is greater than death. But early one Sunday morning, Love rolled up His sleeves and said wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Snatched great death and took the sting out of death and the victory out the grave. I want you to understand in a very practical and pragmatic way that death has NOT won. Your tears may flow. Your pain may come. The flowers will wither. The cards will all be filed away. The phone will stop ringing. Mama said, they're going to stop ringing after a while. Cakes and pies all stop coming. Don't you dare think that death has won. You will learn what all of us know who have lost people that we love at some point my friend. You'll be driving down the street one day and you'll hear their voices talking in your head. Something they may have said or something they did will pop up in your spirit; and you'll giggle inside of yourself as if they were sitting in the car with you. And you will find that the people that you really love, may leave you outwardly, but they will never leave you inwardly. May the love of God, the peace of the Holy Spirit, the sweet communion of knowing that you are a child of the King keep you through this period in life when it might appear as if death has won, but it's alive. Love will last forever, for God is love. We Love you Family!!! From UPCOMING MINISTRIES.....Rest in Power Mr. Webster...You will be missed. Pastor Dameian Battle, MBA and Yevette Bryant, MSW

My condolences to the Webster family. I know this is a difficult time for the family and I pray God comforts the family during this time of bereavement. May the many loving and cherished memories of MIchael comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Revelation 21:4 "And he (GOD) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain will be anymore. The former things have passed away." May you all have peace of mind during this difficult time.
