When under trial Jesus was able to endure because of the joyful hope he maintained in Jehovah God's promises (Hebrews 12:2, Psalm 83:18). There is no greater trial than to lose someone as young as Grant. I pray that in this time of great sorrow, you follow Jesus' example by using God’s Word to embrace the same hope, strength, and unmatchable comfort he received from his heavenly Father (John 5:28-29).

It is hard to find the words to comfort family and friends in this situation. The loss is tremendously painful! God's word does promise that God will end wickedness and violence at Psalms 37:9-11. He will also eliminate death and restore life to those lost in death! You can see your loved again in the resurrection soon to happen. These are promises we can trust because God cannot lie. It is my prayer that you can find comfort in God's promises. To learn more

My sincere condolences to you on the loss of your loved one. Words cannot express the sorrow you’re feeling at this time. Or the pain your heart will continue to feel as the years pass. My deepest condolences to all the love ones of the dearly departed. The words found at 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 3 and 4 were especially comforting to me and my family during the loss of our parents and dear loved ones. It says, "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with comfort that we receive from God." May these words strengthen you too.

You have my heartfelt condolences. Death is never easy and the loss of someone so young can be very hard. But lean on the Most High God who is the God of all comfort, as well as family and friends, for strength and support to carry you through this. (Psalm 83:18; Isa. 41:10; 2 Cor. 1:3, 4) Keep his happy memories close to your heart. And keep your head up. Acts 24:15 says “there is going to be a resurrection”. We will be able to see Grant again on a restored earth. (Psalm 37:11, 29) I hope this brings you peace.
