No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

Mr. James Matthew Cook, of Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. Cook was born June 5, 1957 in Norwalk, CT. – he passed from this walk of life at the age of 60 on Monday, June 4, 2018 in the privacy of his home. 

James, was a Veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He later joined the Bridgeport Police Department as an officer in Delray Beach, Florida. Never backing down from a fight, James took on the entire city of Delray Beach, by suing and winning for discrimination. Mr. James Matthew Cook, will forever be missed. 

Memorial Services to reflect on the life of Mr. James M. Cook will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 3:00 pm from The Ralph Harrington Memorial Chapel - 713 Lake Park Road, Valdosta Georgia.  The Cook Family request continued prayer as they process the lost of their loved one, Mr. James Matthew Cook's burial will be held privately. 

James, is survived by his daughters: Christal Gemeda (Jara), of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kimberly Cook of Orlando, Florida; step-children: Joesph Wallace of Bowie, Maryland, Jason Wallace of Greenacres, Florida and Tiffany Elliot of Bridgeport, Connecticut; his siblings: Karry Cook, Kirk Cook, Joanne Butts, Annette Cook, Wilton Cook III, Carrie Mae Pettway.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old 9and die.
