Ralph "Chip" Claden Monk, 66, of Vandemere died June 5, 2018 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Friends may visit at the home of Larry and Kaye Monk 16025 Hwy. 55, Stonewall.

His service is 1:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018 at New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters  885 Hwy. 306 N, Grantsboro.  Burial will follow  at the Lindsey-Monk Cemetery.

He is survived by one daughter, Kesheia Woodhouse, New York, NY; three grandchildren; one brother, Larry Monk, Stonewall, NC; one sister, Grace Thompson, Oaklahoma.

    Accept our heartfelt sympathy in your recent loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Nahum 1:7 Which reads: “Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him.” Yes, our loving God is there for us if we allow him to help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die.
