We're so sorry about your loss. Please find comfort from the words found at 1 Corinthians 1:3, 4 which reads: "3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials" Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise. (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this. Find out more online at JW.ORG

During this difficult time, words seem inadequate to express our condolences. The death of a loved one can leave us overwhelmed and helpless. However, provided for us are words from our loving Creator that are truly comforting. Prayerfully consider this promise at Isaiah 41:10, 13 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you. I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." Please visualize this promise and allow God to grasp your right hand with his right hand and pull you through this time of difficulty. It is my prayer that you will experience God's loving care now and in the days ahead.

Wow! The day that I’ve dreadfully thought about has come and I’ve every emotion on the spectrum. I’m selfish as I thought you’d be here forever. I’m sad because I miss you terribly. I’m worried because I’m not sure how to continue without you. Most of all, I’m happy because you’ve found your peace. God has already left us with a comforter and we have one another. Your children have one another, Momma (Carolyn) has us and we have our children and we have sweet, sweet memories to soothe the pain in our hearts. One sweet memory I will always hold of you is listening to the 8 track, in the Monte Carlo, going down 80 from Phenix City to the Country listening to Mahalia Jackson. The sweet words of How I Got Over reigns crystal clear and I wonder if when you told your story of how you made it over you mention by not killing me! I was a work and a bit extra at times but you loved me and I thank you for giving unselfishly and tipping your coffe cup into the saucer when Momma said we couldn’t have any. I love you forever Grandma! Rest on my Angel!

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. May you find comfort knowing that our Heavenly Father is a God of comfort and knows the pain you feel at this very moment. Through the blood of his Son (Jesus Christ) he has given you the hope of seeing and being reunited with your loved one again in the promised resurrection at John 5:28,29.

I had known Mrs Moffett for a long time. Really nice sweet woman. I know many of her children. Especially the older ones. I'm sadden with you.please be comforted by what the bible teaches. ( Read John 3:16.) IT shows that Jehovah want us to live and be with family forever. To insure that will happen in the future when death will be no more. ( REVELATION 21:4) what about those who have already died ? John 5:28-29 shows that there's hope to see our loved one live and be with family again. That's comforting to know. Please allow the word of God comfort in times of sadness.
