         Mr. Theodore Preston Miller was born May 13, 1951 in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed this life Friday, June 8, 2018 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.  He was the son of the late Cramer Miller, Sr. and Ruth Gunnings Miller.  

He attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, Gastonia, North Carolina.

He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, “Class of 1969”, Bessemer City, North Carolina.  He was employed as an Executive Chef at Park Tavern in Atlanta, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his daughter, Myra G. Howze (Thomas); sons, Theodore P. Garvin, Troy Garvin and Sheldon Garvin; sisters, Dorothy M. Miller and Nancy M. McDonald; brothers, Reverend Tony Miller, Reverend Niles N. Miller (Mary) and Cramer Miller, Jr. (Rose); grandchildren, Vivian Moise, LaToya Lipscomb, Kaela Lipscomb, Alexus Lipscomb, Aliyaha Garvin, Elijah Garvin, Precious Garvin and Monyel Garvin; great grandchildren, Trinity Lipscomb, Jamarco Moise, Jayce Lipscomb, Drew Lipscomb and Isiah Lipscomb; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Accept our heartfelt sympathy in your recent loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Nahum 1:7 Which reads: “Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him.” Yes, our loving God is there for us if we allow him to help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
