Cedric Jerrold Hubbard was born December 14, 1967 in Fort Pierce Florida. On June 2, 2018 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, he was called to rest. Cedric is the first grandchild of the Hubbard Clan being born to the first daughter, Bobbie Jean Hubbard Hill. He was a very spiritual person and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He had not selected a church home, often speaking of several as his church. He referred to one Pastor in particular, Pastor Joseph Johnson, as his Pastor and loved him like a brother. Cedric was educated through the St. Lucie County Public school system, graduating from Fort Pierce Westwood High School in 1986. He also attended Indian River State College and served in the United States Navy.

He loved people, especially children. Because of this, Cedric chose car sales and corrections as his employment. He would often tell children in his life how he went from riches to rags overnight, yet he didn’t choose a life of crime. Over the years many of those children came back to thank him and show him the changes they made in their lives because of him. He retired due to physical disability from Georgia Regional Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cedric could often be found at the park playing dominoes with the other retirees or fishing on any waterway. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing whenever he could entice someone to go with him. He was a member of Masonic Order, Lodge #155. He was very active in his lodge and faithfully attended to various duties of the Masonic brotherhood. Cedric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Redona Archie; maternal grandparents, Bobby (PA) and Rita Hubbard; sister, Dollie Archie; aunt, Geraldine Goodin and uncle Johnny Hubbard, Sr.

Cedric is survived by his sons: Cedric Hubbard, Jr. of Lemoore, CA and Javon Hubbard of Riviera Beach, FL; mother, Bobbie Jean Hill of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Bernie Hill-Dodd of Pt. St. Lucie, FL and Shelia Hudson of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Marvin Thompson of Hattiesburg, MS; aunts: Deloris Moore of Pt. St. Lucie, FL, Dianna Josue, Joanne Davis both of Fort Pierce, FL and Flora Cash of Jacksonville, FL; God-mother Marjorie Gaskins, special friend Lillie Hudson and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, Ft. Pierce.  A public visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel - Fort Pierce. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.

I don't know where to start. Who is going to love me, protect me, guide me, keep me sane, keep me prayed up laugh til my belly hurt, tell me I'm beautiful when I feel absolutely the complete opposite, listen to me vent and actually listen to me vent to give me advice. You wasn't supposed to leave us Cedric. Who is going to make me laugh even though I feel like crying? I'm so heartbroken and although I know you are watching from up above is it selfish of me to say I still wish you here with me? I know you are resting in peace. No more pain baby!! You were loved and definitely will be missed. My condolences to your family especially your mother and two sons! I know exactly how close you guys were. It kills me to even write this. I love you forever and always Mr Cedric 'Hoodrich' Hubbard. Until we meet again!!!

We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
