Mr. Arthur Junior Welch, 74, died June 22, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Visitation 11:30 am- 12:00 pm Friday June 29, 2018 at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Belews Creek, NC.

Arthur, well known as "Nub", started his earthly life on August 19, 1943.  He was born to the late Joe and Nettie Welch in Stokes County, NC.  He transitioned into his spiritual journey peacefully on June 22, 2018 after a brief battle with Alzheimer's disease.  "Nub" was known for staying on the fish bank, pitching horse shoes and his infectious laugh and smile.  He was employed at Duke Power for several years from which he retired.  he was also preceded in death by four sisters; Loretta Dalton, Fannie Goolsby, Martha Marie Simmons and Mary Frances Carroll, four brothers; Robert, Otis-McCoy, James and Joe Chester Welch.  He is survived by two brothers; Julius Welch (Mary) and David Welch (Carlotta) both of Walnut Cove, NC, three sisters; Christine Price (Clyde), Linda Ann Manns of Walnut Cove, NC, Sarah Jane Welch of Mt. Airy, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, a wonderful friend, Wesley Davis of Walnut Cove, NC.  "Nub" was well loved by his family and friends of the Walnut Tree Community.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
