Sir, you taught us how to be humble and showed us that adults could actually care about teenagers. Thank you so much. You changed our lives.

Coach Friday was a larger than life individual who lived his life in service to his God, his kids (any one he touched!) and his Marietta. He was a role model for so many and I will always be grateful to have known him and had the chance to work with him. Dorothy, you are one amazing wife and person. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you and Friday for making this world a better place and providing inspiration to everyone who was fortunate enough to know both of you. I will be with you in spirit and know that Coach Friday, Coach Ben and Coach Bryant are all together again laughing and loving each other.

I loved Friday since our playing days at Marietta. He could "really carry the water". He later coached my son at Marietta. He will be sorely missed. God Bless Dorothy and the rest of your family.

I know you have heard this a lot the last few days, but, one more time, Friday will be missed by so many in the area. he was a great coach and a friend. When my son was small he would want to go with me to scout Marietta basketball games and sit across the court so he could hear Friday coaching...Thankfully, I got to tell him that story a few years ago...Thinking of you and the family at this time.. We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
