Mr. William Woodson Broadnax, Sr., 79, died July 4, 2018.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Sunny Home Baptist Church, Eden, NC.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial will be at Broadnax Family Cemetery, Cascade, VA.

William was born April 28, 1939 in Cascade, VA to the late Eddie and Elizabeth Broadnax.  He departed this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.  William was a member of Sunny Home Baptist Church, Eden, NC where he was a member of the Deacon Board and Usher Board Ministry.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony Staples and sister, Margaret.  Left to cherish his memories: his loving wife of
55 years, Ann Broadnax, two sons: William W. Broadnax, Jr., Christopher G. Broadnax (Carol), daughter: Shanna M. Broadnax, two grandchildren; Keon Broadnax & Kierra Broadnax, four brothers; Herbert Broadnax (Alberta) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Howard Broadnax (Dorothy) of Cascade, VA, Charles Broadnax (Madeline) of Maryland, Robert Broadnax (Regina) of Reidsville, NC, two sisters; Mary L. Thomas of Washington, DC, Emmaline Hembry of Maryland, two uncles; Freddie Bonds (Brenda), Spencer Bonds (Margaret) both of Baltimore, MD, brother-in-law; Melvin T. Dowell, 3 sister-in-law; Rose Taylor, Patricia Taylor, Anna Quarles, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.
