James Randell Kelly

On March 7, 1967 the Lord blessed Emma J. Kelly and Robert Jackson with a gift, James R. Kelly as a child James joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church where he received Christ as his savior and he was in the Expose community, He graduated from Columbia High in “Live Live ‘85” (as he would always say) and enlisted in the army in 1987 and served as a cook.  After 3 years in active duty he traveled and took on many positions in the workforce like Jitney Jungle, Piggly Wiggly, and the Brandon House and many others out of state. James A.K.A “Kelly Dog” was a well know person and loved by so many, and he continued his earthly duties until his health started to fail him but his health issues that didn’t slow Kelly Dog because he was determined to carry out what he was placed here to do, and he did just that. James was a loving, caring, witty, person with a great sense of humor that loved life and always wanted to help. James peacefully transmitted from this life surrounded by love ones. James R. Kelly was proceeded in death by his Mother (Emma J. Kelly), sister (Teresa C. Kelly), Brother (Winfred L. Kelly) He leaves to carry on his memories his father Robert Louis Jackson of Columbia, MS. Seven sisters; Margie Luter, Myra( Altone) Smith of  Hattiesburg, MS, Rosetta (Rodney) Washington of Shakopee, MN, Evelyn (John) Anderson, Tina Jackson of Columbia, MS; Alnita Jackson (Jeffery) Price of Detroit, MI; Emma Jean Weathersby of Pascagoula, MS, four brothers Christopher E. (Joyce) Kelly of Hattiesburg, MS, Ricky (Angela) Jackson of, Robert K. (Tiffany)Jackson of Shakopee, MN, Terrance(Candra)Jackson of Meridian, MS. Two Special brothers Darryl(DC) and Rodney Abram of Baton Rouge, LA, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
