Memphis, TN

Bonita Barnett, 80 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Methodist Hospice House in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Saturday, September 25, 1937 in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Staurt and the late Ruby Roberts Winters. She was a member of the Mississippi Blvd Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor J Lawrence Turner. She leaves to celebrate her homegoing her daughter, Traci S Barnett. 

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 20, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Mississippi Blvd Christian Church located at 70 North Bellevue, Memphis, Tennessee 38104. Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery, Memphis, TN.

May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
