Thomas Henry Barfield, 72 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at his residence in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Sunday, September 23, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Tommie Barfield and Theresia Hammond Barfield. He was the husband of Elgie W Barfield. He was a retired United States Postal Services. Also surviving are sons, Derek Barfield and Kevin Austin, daughters, Nathalia Barfield, Angela Barfield and Angela Hayes, brothers, Terrance Hammond and John Boyland , sisters, Ann Barfield  and Carrie Boyland; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at Grace United Methodist Church located at 1619 Raines Road Memphis, Tennessee 38116. Interment will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
